Ozempic looked like a miracle drug. But it didn’t work for me

Danielle Griffin grew up as a self-ascribed "chunky kid,” bullied for her weight, always hungry, and struggling with her self-confidence.
Except, Griffin seems to be one of the estimated 20 percent of people who don't find success on the GLP-1 drugs.
“It was the new craze; everybody was having these amazing results on it, and I wasn't,” Griffin told The Independent.
She lost a small amount of initial weight (13 pounds) in the first two months, and then plateaued. Months went by, and the scales didn't change. Griffin felt like she’d failed at weight loss, again

I remember when online dating you had to make sure you could see a collarbone in the pictures. She'd fail that test, guess she's a chonk

so she loses 13 pounds in 8 weeks and considers that a failure, how frickin fat did she start out at?
And I'd bet a hundred bucks that her lazy arse just took the shots and expected tha tto solve all her problems while still doing precisely zero exercise and eating like a drunk goat

I have a lot of patients it doesn't work on, so they switch to Tirzepatide and boom, success. Everyone is different, shite happens.

Why the frick did someone her age need medicine to lose 13 pounds in 8 weeks?

13 pounds in 2 months is easy as shite if you’re fat through diet changes alone and just physically moving at all

Hard life being fat without the fat girl boobs to go with it

She should just accept the fatness. That fatness has chosen her

I'm in favor of these drugs because a minority of people will take advantage of the initial weight loss by becoming more active and making fundamental changes to how they eat. If even 20% do this that's a huge weight lifted off the health care system.
She's in the majority, that treat it like a miracle drug that will do all the work for them, and even if she had great success with it, would likely just gain it all back because she hasn't put in any work on herself.

Griffin said that she was also gaining weight back after a few weeks off the medication. She said prospective patients should know that everybody is different.

Especially fat women. I learned this the hard way on Tinder.

I think most people gain the weight back even with lifestyle changes when they stop Ozempic, no?
