THE HORROR

I’d hate for someone to have to do something challenging

Most actually aren’t. They’re just stupid and lazy and delusional

We need TigerGman in this thread to tell us about genes.

I did meat and fruit with carbs intra workout for a while and felt amazing. Just hard to maintain with client lunches, travel, etc

They were on pace to do 20 billion in sales in 2025 alone.. The sheer number of people taking it is mind blowing

It’s an addiction driven by the pleasure center of the brain

I found this out about my exwife entirely too late. She said that she was in constant search for instant gratification….it could be buying a purse, booking a vacation, eating candy. Looking back at our relationship it was obvious but she used ‘my gratification’ (buying me wrestlemania tickets) to fuel her addiction.

Reasonable

Not to paint with too broad a brush but every person I’ve met who claims to do the “carnivore” diet is a complete doucher

I was wondering when something like this was going to happen. If it sounds too good to be true….. short cuts can be dangerous.

Fat people are disgusting.

Even if they temporarily lose weight, they’re still disgusting.

Get your fat arse off the couch and commit to something.

I'll never understand why people take toxic crap like this instead of just eating less, eating healthier, and going for a walk. Same goes for people that have invasive surgeries instead of just eating less

It’s because it’s a shortcut. If you’ve ever dieted to lose 20 pounds, it’s a grind dude. Best case scenario most people have to make a job of choosing food they’re not used to. Working out which adds additional pain/soreness. 3 months or so of work. That’s one thing. I’ve done that in my life like 3 times successfully , failed probably 3 times. Failing is usually injury or illness. Putting weight on is usually injury or illness over time. Rogan had a nutritionist on not too long ago that presented that setbacks are what leads to aging. Definitely true for me. I’m a pretty gritty person when it comes to bouncing back and doing the work to lose it, I can see why most people would take the shortcut and the risk. Hate that these weak arse people sue when they take the non-weight loss medicine as a weight loss and then realize the consequences. fricking fatties.

A friend on carnivore looks like he is on Ozempic. I don’t think cutting out vegetables and grains is the answer either.

Excessive processed carbs with vegetable and seed oil is driving this. GLP-1 are a short cut to slowing peristalsis and signaling the brain that they're full. Eating low carb will give you the same signal without the potential side effects.

How long is something a fad?

Because it’s been discussed pretty extensively for more than a decade
