They have a condition called “TMT”, or “too much truck”. Basically, they have more truck to a they can handle. In men, this is most common seen in the form of a GMC Serra, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra, or Ford F150 crew cab. In women, it’s usually in a Tahoe, suburban, and occasionally Wagoneer.

I have what I would call a regular ol F150 four door. I back in. Easily the best option. Can get right in the lines and not on top of other vehicles. Fold mirrors in and go shop.

Coupled with “TMT” that I mentioned above, I think this is also part of the problem. It’s like as vehicles get bigger and younger people’s driving skills get progressively worse, parking spots also seem to be getting smaller.

Exactly. And doing it this way also means you can use your backup camera to ensure you’re parked in between the lines.

Most locations have more space further away from the store. They take up 2 spaces because they are too lazy to get in the extra daily steps their tubby bodies need to live longer than their late 50s.

Had a buddy with an F-250 that did this one day when I was riding with him. I asked him why didn't he turn the engine off while we went in the store and his reply was "it burns less fuel idling than when I crank it"...my reply back with "it burns zero fuel when the key is in your pocket".

What is this phenomenon. Don't see that at all down here and everyone got a big arse vehicle. Maybe your parking lots too small over there..
