Things like Stonehenge, Golden Gate Bridge, the pyramids, Notre Dame, etc are fundamentally passive activities. You look around and think this is more crowded than I imagine. There isn’t a lot of engagement with the experience and certainly nothing unique for you versus the other millions of people who have similarly visited.
Exactly the opposite for me. Do you think about what you are looking at, how the people lived, what they had to endure, how brilliant they were about finding ways to make a primitive life easier/more efficient, etc. Have you no imagination or no interest in history? If you do a little research before you visit these places, it is a lot more interesting.

Yeah, if you’re not impressed by the pyramids, you’re hard to impress. That was the tallest structure on Earth until 1884. It was the largest built structure by man for over 4,000 years. How can you not be impressed by that?

Getting married to your high school sweetheart. I’d love to see statistics of how often those marriages fail these days.

That's why I didn't enjoy my night with your mom.

I sorta agree with him. I think I like the idea of saying that I've seen the grand canyon or Stonehenge or the pyramids more than actually seeing them. It's really interesting to think of the history behind those things, but the actual act of being there and observing them is sorta secondary.

Not the person you're replying to, but I don't think anyone is saying that the tallest building on earth isn't impressive. But I'm not sure there is much of a difference in the emphasis on how impressive it is that's separate from just knowing that. I totally see stopping by places like that if it's feasible, but I'm not going to seek out Stonehenge or the pyramids because seeing those things, while they are historic and it'd be an honor, is just not worth the cost and hassle.
It's sorta the way I feel about outer space. I think it's silly when we ascribe these magical experiences to the cosmos. Anything could be out there, but also it could be a whole lot of nothing. If you told me I could go to space for an affordable price and be 100% of a safe return, I'm not sure I'd go. To humans its mystical and the unknown, but its most likely that its just a bunch of space debris.

Getting gilded on Reddit
Nintendo Switch unboxing
Getting a vasectomy
Seeing Lizzo live for the first time
Kombucha
Visiting Japan
Getting elected Secretary-General of the Yo Gabba Gabba fan club
ETA: Did I misunderstand the question? Does anyone think these are underrated life experiences?

I think you should tour the Louvre
I visited The Louvre while stationed in Germany and traveled to Paris. Although I would recommend The Louvre, the Mona Lisa is very overrated and disappointing. Overall, I found Paris overrated and don’t have to go back.

2 chicks at the same time.
Yeah no.
One chick working the bag while the other works the stick. Not overrated.
Plowing a chick from behind while her face is buried between the other chicks thighs. Also not overrated.
I’ve only done it twice, but overrated was not my first thought
What is overrated:
-any tourist pier or wharf
-any famed regional fast food

The Alamo. Boring. Good thing they had that mirror maze thing across the street.
Live music. Just not my thing. I hate it. It is boring and you can’t talk.
Living in a big city. Just visit for a few days while on a vacation and you will do more than someone living there for years.

Not overrated at all in my book, but I have the feeling the women might have felt otherwise about me. I am OK when 100% but split 50/50 I gotta think I am somewhat disappointing.
