Does anyone really consider a gas station a lifetime experience?

Truck drivers and Lot Lizards probably do. Gas up, get laid and get BBQ at the same place.

Yeah man. People go out of their way just so they can post a selfie with the beaver.

Here’s the thing with the Louvre: unlike the White House, it’s WAY bigger than you think it is. It’d take a day to go into every room there while the White House you could probably do that in 30 minutes. While some of the art is boring (seriously, Mona Lisa is the most boring artwork in there) the building itself is extremely impressive.

You're absolutely correct about the Mona Lisa. It's completely underwhelming. The statue of David, on the other hand, is stunning.

Now, a full Solar Eclipse on the other hand, was the most amazing natural event I’ve ever experienced.

Yes it is. And I’m planning to take the family to go see the next one too.

For me, it was visiting Homer’s Rock in 1994. So disappointing that I actually kicked it.

Yes. I kicked rocks. Specifically, a rock that Homer sat on thousands of years ago.

Disneyworld especially while being stuck behind the Cuban tour group with a bull horn talking over everything.

Dining in NYC, followed closely with Christmas at Rockefeller plaza.

Paris was nice until we saw some guy pinching a loaf at noon in front of one of the fancy jewelry stores on champs elysees...oh and having two guys try and pick pocket me on the train to the airport.

Pikes peak no matter how you get to the top.

Any cruise leaving from the continental US.

I clearly didn’t get my point across. I’ve been to the Giza pyramids about 8 different times in my life. If I am ever in Cairo again I will go see them again. There is nothing I like more than history and archeology and, when in Rome as they say, there are things you simple need to see as a human.

However, the actual experience of seeing the Giza pyramids is a mixed bag. Cairo has let the city grow to the absolute door step. The building with maybe the best view in the world looks dead at the Sphinx with the three pyramids in the back. From 1993-2000 that building was a Pizza Hut. You will be hounded by panhandlers grabbing and pushing you. God only knows what it is like now with people who can’t be bothered to look up from their phone.

There are lesser visited sites in Egypt that are, in my opinion, a more enjoyable experience because those negatives are largely removed.

Another example. The Met in New York is the better museum, but I always recommend people to see the Frick as alternative. The undercard of attractions for me often delivers more than the marquee.
