ESP having long hair my whole life.

Trust me, first time I shaved my head just to see what I looked like, I freaked out. I was looking at a diff person in the mirror.

I just started cutting my own hair about 2 years ago. Trial and error, practiced fading my own hair, kept it long on top but short on the sides.

I'm 41 and in the same boat. By barber actually uses thinning shears bc my hair is so thick

I get thinking shears in top and sides because it is so thick also. This is one of the main issues I'm struggling with.

Just the front part of the crown is thin and receding.

I'm about to Bic my head.

I've been balding since high school so I'm used to it but I just recently saw a picture of my head from behind and it was quite depressing.

We're your friends, we care about you, and we're telling you that implants are more noticeable than baldness. Don't do it. You're way too young for the Grandpa Joe Biden look.

my hairline isn't fully receding at this point at 30. still all blonde too. but man, i hate hair products to deal with my straight as a board hair.

last summer my old lady made a bet with me. if i lost i had to shave my head to a 1. i ended up losing and went thru with it. i hated it the first 2 weeks, then i loved it. saves so much time. just get up and go. i can wash it in seconds. no hair products. so now i have a 1 on the sides and a 2 on top. can't imagine growing it back out to full length again.

honestly, probably 80% of men your age and above are losing hair to varying degrees. really, the only people who care about it are those with a lot of hair who are worried about losing it. when mine started thinning, it bothered me a little and then I realized that a good number of my close friends had thinning hair and I had never realized it.

cut it short and do whatever you have to do in order to keep from losing your self confidence and you will be fine. if you start doing shite like toupes and transplants, you have lost the battle, IMO.

Do you have just a receding hairline or are you balding? There is a difference.

You are correct. It is just something me and the SO talked about.

After we finish having kids she will get the bags fixed so I might do the same with the hair.

Both but just on the crown. Receding but also thinking on the front spot. There is like a clear cut line where the hair is thick as frick right behind the crown.
