Magnesium-Threonate or Magnesium Glyconate, if you want zero grogginess and no affect to the quality of brain activity. On top of that you could add some L-Theanine to get rid of anxiety/ruminating thoughts. Maybe apigenin too.

Only took getting to the 2nd page for 5-6 decent replies. Thanks all- it’s not permanent. Normally I’m a good sleeper and fall asleep in no time, but I’ve got some shite going on right now that I just need a little help with shutting the brain down and falling asleep. I called my doctor for sleep meds, but decided I didn’t want to go the prescription route. I’m not a THC user, but I did consider it. Still might, but I gotta see how much the prescription cards run these days.

As someone who suffers from insomnia it’s always funny to me when people just assume what works for them will work for anyone. Sure you can try more exercises to see if that helps and if so great. Melatonin lmao. That stuff don’t touch anyone with even a hint of trouble sleeping, it’s for lightweights. For otc, get you some diphenhydramine tablets. Start with 1… then goto 2. If that don’t work go to your dr. I’m
Currently on lunesta and it works well for me

Mine was about $150 but like I said, there's stores, 1 in Baton Rouge and 1 near Lakeside mall that sell Hemp Gummies. I sleep the same on those as the prescription ones.

I find with THC I fall asleep easily and quickly but the sleep quality is suboptimal, no matter the amount I eat or smoke, a lot or a little.

For me, it’s about staying on a schedule and that means including weekends which can be tough.

I'm with you. I exercise a lot each day and it doesn't do anything to help me sleep. If I combine it with working in the yard the entire day in the sun, that may help, but you can't do that on a daily basis. Melatonin is a joke to me also. I hate taking Benadryl b/c it makes you feel like you're drunk the next morning. After a while your body gets used to it and it does little to nothing. I have had trouble sleeping since I was a kid. Never sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. I guess it is just a way of life for me and I deal with it.

Ever since my deployment 15 years ago, I have been on medication to help me sleep. I tried a few OTC but they never worked. I got prescribed Trazodone and it works perfectly for me.

Try Delta 9 gummies. 10 CBT/ 10 THC. It's legal federally and in almost every state.

Put me in the zzzquil category. I don’t take the full dose, because I’ll be too groggy in the morning. About half a dose and I’m good to go.

I took 50mg of diphenhydramine nightly for 2 years

Started suffering from memory loss more rapid than normal for my age

Found out it leads to being 6 X more likely to get early onset dementia

Haven’t taken one in over a year and doing much better now after struggling at first

Your heart rate averages 38? You may want to get that checked out.

ETA melatonin.
