Is this a joke? It's the most densely populated state in the country.

Jersey has heavily populated cities and lots of wilderness. Very nice once you get away from the NYC metro area or Trenton.

That said, screw the cold. I like the south.

Just don’t live north of I-12. Move to the South East area of EBR and you’ll be fine. Traffic is a total pain in the arse though.

I'm sure NJ is a better place to live than LA by a wide margin.

Not really. Its basically the same place but LA is warmer. Plus they have lots of cultcha and guidos.

They have the Pine Barrens which is pretty much just Mississippi and some marsh along the coast and Delaware river like Louisiana. Definitely no more wilderness than any other state.

Northern NJ as a whole is fine. Your problem is Newark.

I lived in Princeton for six years. It’s an awesome and beautiful town. But NJ taxes are oppressive and they’re only going up. ~3% property taxes and 10+% state income tax? Winters were brutal. I enjoyed living there, but if I could do what I do in BR I’d probably move tomorrow.

Well in BR you won't get throw in jail for having a legally owned firearm in you vehicle. That's a biggie for me.

No it’s not.

When compared to Baton Rouge? Why do you people who have obviously spent less than an hour in a certain place feel compelled to make erroneous comments it?

Didn't say that.

From Newark, ride out 78 to the west and take note of how quickly things go to forest. Or up toward the border with upstate NY and Pennsylvania. Lots of state parks up there. Or the pine barrens as you said.

You said it was mostly wilderness. I took that as trying to paint it as Wyoming or something when it really has more more people close together than any other state.

The state is mostly forested, as are most states. But no it isn't sparsely populated like Wyoming.

Edit: Just looked it up and it's listed at 42% forested. I'm thinking that means complete wilderness with no roads etc.
