OT Watch Guys: Opinions on Tissot?

Looking at getting a Tissot T Race for my sportier activities like kayaking, mtn biking, paddleboarding etc.
I'm being told Tissot is an ok watch brand. Obviously it's not high end, but I'm not looking for that.
Jomashop has some pretty good flash sales going on, so may pull trigger soon

This one is multifunctional which makes it great for sporting activities. It has a calculator so you can accurately predict jump distances when biking, and the sweatband is perfect for keeping your forehead dry.

I have a Tissot watch. It's durable and reliable. I love it.

Nothing wrong with Tissot.
I believe Jared’s carries them. Find a Jared’s try them all on and buy the one that makes you smile. Just buy it on JomaShop.

They have constant sales, literally. I don't think the deals are ever better one day than they are the previous
I don't have any experience with Tissot, but the Tissot T Race looks way too big for me. If you have a larger wrist it may fit you well, though.

Spelled backwards it's Toss it.

I’ve got the Tissot automatics III. It’s a been a good everyday watch and I’ve got no complaints. The T race isn’t my style but if you like it get it.

Had for 8 years. Never a problem.

I have this exact watch. Love it. Very durable, keeps time well. No problems swimming with it or getting it shallow water wet.
Have had it for 6+ years

I wear a Tissot every day. I have about 5-6 decent watches but I kept going back to my Tissot Automatic. I love it and would give nothing but the highest praise to it.
The one I have is this watch but with a silver band. I bought it on Jomashop probably 4 years ago and still havent had an issue even though I wear it every day, including in the shower, pool, lake, river, etc.

It does what it's supposed to do...keep time. Just like a Timex, a Seiko, a Rolex, or a Patek Philippe If you are buying it because of a perceived "brand recognition", then don't. Tissot doesn't carry any sort of significant "clout" or prestige and you could get a probably get a Seiko for less that keeps time just as well and lasts forever.
That aside, if you really like the watch, then get it. That's really all that matters. I'm sure it will be fine. But IMO the higher price (if it is a relatively high priced watch) doesn't really bring anything special with it.

I'd want something less busy for a sports watch. Titanium with great visibility.
Just an example.

It's for gay Frenchies.
Be a man and wear Suunto or G-Shock.

Get yourself a Patek Philippe Henry Graves Supercomplication. A very nice watch that will last you a lifetime. I have my Dad's, it still works fine and turns heads.

I have a MotoGP Tissot amd love it. Had it for years and it is durable, looks good, and is functional (i.e., when I look at it I can tell what time it is).

No. Just like to buy quality. This watch costs under $500, so I'm not getting it for anything other than its intended use. Sporty watch that can handle my active hobbies.. I'm assuming most people won't even know Tissot as I wasn't familiar with this brand either.

Tissot is just another name under the Swatch group (of which there are many). Hamilton is in the same middle-range group under Swatch so if you like Tissot then you'll probably find something by Hamilton that you'd like too. There's no difference in quality, both run ETA automatic or Swatch Group made quartz movements, so find what you like for the lowest price you can find. I have a Hamilton Khaki auto, paid $300, solid workhorse 2892 movement and zero issues with it.
