I'm not a pilot, nor am I a Navy Seal, for the record.

I like mine. Got it for duck hunting. Don't buy it off amazon though, half the time the face is luminox but the guts are Chinese off brand and will die in a month.

What are their prices?
They look ok, but longevity?
Citizen or a Swiss Army may do better.

Had mine since '08.
It's tough. Dials are still bright at night.

I thought about getting one, but ended up with a Victorinox Swiss Army Summit XLT instead. Has held up very well

Jumped on the train in highschool and got one like everybody else. Had mine for almost 4 years now and wear it everyday. Looking to get something new soon, though. Also, check out JomaShop.com, thats where i got mine really cheap

Bought mine in 2004 before they were popular. The tritium lights are about half capacity now, but I still wear it all the time; great outdoor watch.

I like my 3059. Get a lot of positive comments on it.

I've had mine about 3 years. It's been bullet proof. It's my weekend watch when I'm wearing casual cloths or doing outdoor stuff. The tritium is very bright and it's kept time really well.
I'd say it kicks the arse off a Swiss Army or Swiss Army in that price range.
I got mine from Jomashop. They usually have competitive prices.

I'm pretty sure my wife got me the knockoff with Chinese guts. I've had to replace the crown and stem, face turned, and the band broke. I've only had it for a year.

I worked in the jewelry and wholesale watch business for many years.
You can find much better movements within the class. Victorianox and Tags are much more reliable within the class.

What about Swiss Army brand? I'm looking for a weekend, golf, fishing, etc. watch right now.
Also, I like Tissot, Hamilton, and Citizen brands. Are those nice? I will be buying a nice "dressier" watch by Christmas I hope.

Up until this year I would have told you how much I love Luminox and that they are the best everyday watch out there. But that is not the case anymore. I have currently 2 Luminox watches, I had 4. My first watch lasted 8 years and I wore it every day. Only having to replace the band every couple of years. I had a problem with one of my watches so I sent it back to Saltzman watch repair, which if you want it fixed and warrantied, that is where it goes. My watch would hang up every now and then. That watch wasn't more than three years old. The cost to repair it was more than I originally paid for the watch. The prices to work on the watches have gone up in the past year. Along with the price of a Luminox watch.
I guess to answer your question.....find a different make of that style watch.

I had one and it didn't last 2 years, got moisture in it and rusted the insides.

I have had my 3000 series for about 10 years now. Tough watch.
