If you have expensive watches, get insurance on them. Saved my arse last year

Omega and Rolex make their own movements in-house.
Omega uses a modified ETA movement in their watches. Nothing wrong with this just pointing it out. Not a true "in house" movement. But then again ETA owns Omega now so maybe it is an in house movement.

Back to the OP, a Nomos Tangomat Datum is right at $4k. It's a beautiful watch.
That might be the first watch you've ever posted that I also think is gorgeous

Buy a Swiss Army watch for $500. They keep great time and you can't tear them up.
Spend the $4500 left over on something else like a down payment on a bike or whores and coke.

A Rolex Submariner will be worth more than you paid for it in 20 years if you take decent care of it.
A Rolex purchased between 4-5 grand will not be.

Save the money and invest it or buy your wife some new tits. They're probably starting to sag now.

Buy this and give the $4k savings to a charity.

She will leave him for a guy with a sweet watch.

One person mentioned Sinn.
How about Doxa? If you are a Clive Cussler fan, you can't go wrong.
Either of those two, you will rarely,
if never, see anyone with the same watch as you.

Was $5500 at Jomashop but out of stock for moment. My choice hands down. Rolex and Omega are fine watches just too common IMO.

watch for $4000 - $5000? What y'all say?
I say anyone that would spend that type of money on a watch needs their head examined.

Bought mine brand new in 1996 for $3400. It's been serviced, taken very good care of and in perfect condition. I think I'm safe:)

What about a $70k bass boat?
What about $5k/year deer/duck lease and hunting?
What about a $68k F250?
What about insert expensive item?

By that statement I hope you have the most basic, entry level car.

its one of 2 guys will say that:
1 - obnoxious fellas who blow cash on expensive toys otherwise
2 - jealous guys who can't afford it otherwise
there are those who have means and relish in their miserliness (provides them an angle at condescension because all other avenues are not there), but who in the frick wants to hang out with those killjoys?!?!

And does that guy shoot an old Wingmaster? Or is he sporting some Italian shotgun or an over/under that costs $2k?
Everybody has an itch.
Buying "nice" things can make life worth living. Along with MANY OTHER things. But if you don't indulge in something, then it is kind of sad.
