OT Thoughts on New Jersey?

Anybody here on the OT currently live in or have lived in New Jersey? I’ve been there before but it was a long time ago.
Those who do live there, how do you like living there? If you have also lived in Louisiana, how do the two states compare? What are the good sides and bad sides to living in the Garden State?
The Sopranos is my all-time favorite show, so I have an appreciation for New Jersey strictly based on my love for the show lol.

If you're from Lafayette you won't notice a difference.

The western part of the state is surprisingly rural and scenic.

Camden is essentially the NBR of NJ.

If you have to then live in South Jersey
Lot more baws there, 30ish min to Philly, 45 min to beaches, some pretty spots there like Woodstown, Mullica Hill, Pitman

You've got to live it everyday. Let the broken hearts stand as the price you've got to pay. We'll keep pushing till it's understood, and these badlands start treating us good.

The wife and I moved up here a couple of years ago. It's alright, not really the shithole people would lead you to believe. Stay out of Camden, Newark, Patterson and the like and it's mostly country-ish.

you are going to get a bad review here, but once you get off the coast, Newark area, it is a beautiful state.

Sorta like California, Oregon, Washington. Beautiful state ruined by the urban shitbags who live there.

the Northern part close to PA and NY is some of the prettiest country I have visited.

Newark has a distinct smell to it, and it’s not pleasant.
I haven’t spent time in the rest of NJ but I hear a lot of it is beautiful.

Some of it for sure, but not what most people think of when you say NJ.
