Tonight is Dutchtown Middle's dance. My daughter (no pics you sick fricks), and the cattiness going on between her and her friends on where to meet up, "I didn't get invited there!", etc is brutal.

Help them find contentment. It will give them a much better quality of life instead of letting envy, criticism, and jealousy damage them.

The key to happiness ... is knowing that you already have it.

Naw, it's sometime in their late 80's early 90's, they just stay too weak and tired to keep it up.

When does all the catty little bitching stop? It's like hens in a hen house.

I'm hoping it's over by 10th or 11th grade.

Wont stop till senior year after high school ends.

When will it end? You ever listen to your wife and her friends after a few drinks?

If you work with or around a lot of women, you'll find that it never ends.

Tonight. After they all fall asleep.
That's your only reprieve.

It never ends, younjust have to be a parent and teach her when it’s wrong.

My 2 year old is growing in her independence and experiences my wrath daily. She told me to chill while rolling her eyes the other day. I almost called child protective services for her.

... ....

My daughter is finishing up her junior year. She’s a sweet, thoughtful kid when it’s just the family, but it becomes brutal within her group of friends.

It’s like the short story “The Most Dangerous Game.” Teen girls must kill or be killed.

Our daughter will be a senior in the fall. She's always been pretty comfortable in her own skin and hasn't really worried too much about what others say/do and where/why she is/isn't invited. Her feelings may have been hurt but she sure did't get ugly over it that I know of.
Haven't had her complain about much cattiness although I've seen it -- she's just good at ignoring it. In fact she opted to not try out for dance team this year after having been on it three years due to "I'm better than her -- why am I in the back" and on and on. She'd done with that and wants to venture into other things.

Regarding the "I wasn't invited" aspect, There have been times when I've had to limit the number invited depending on what it was and when she hasn't been invited and wondered outloud why she hadn't I reminded her that I've myself placed limits. People need to get over themselves.

Much of the issues I agree are indeed caused by parents and the fact that they try to live vicariously through their kids.

Oh the internet...where people get up the courage to anonamously say things to people they’d never dream of saying in person.
