OT lifting baws - Franco's on Magazine

Just moved to the Irish Channel and looking for a gym with a squat rack and an area to do deadlifts. Franco's is in walking distance of my new place so I'm looking there first. Any of you work out there? Worth the price? Any other places you'd recommend in the area that can accommodate powerlifting?

Lofty place with plenty of baws who rock out to Starboy while lifting, mate. I'd still recommend the JCC over Franco's for the hot Hebrew women, but either is keen

Yea it's definitely not what what I'd normally choose in a gym, but I'm finding it difficult to find non-crossfit gyms in the area that have free weights.

I wouldn't mind joining a crossfit gym if I didn't actually have to do crossfit and could just use their racks and platforms. But apparently I can't do that which is why I'm not looking at crossfit gyms.

suck it up and drive over to the westbank athletic club. best gym in the nola area.
pretty hard core. Mutiple racks, platforms, chains, pit shark, hurricane, dbs up to 200lbs, ghd, reverse hyper etc. You know its hardcore when you walk in and they have a big leader board for the big lifts hanging on the wall.

30-40 minutes of travel ain't gonna happen. If I was okay with that I'd stick to 504 Fitness or Final Fitness in Elmwood.

Westbank athletic club isn't just any gym. its a throw back and there are only a few left in the state that are like it. Its worth the travel. Go check it out on a saturday and get back to me.

I'll check it out. But I'm just being realistic. If I'm beat from work or if the traffic across the CCC is looking bad (which is basically every single day) I just won't go. The best gym in the world ain't shite if I never end up going.
