nope. video shows a good 6-7 lengths. 25 mph zone. wasn't speeding either

if car #2 was 6-7 car lengths behind, how did they collide? Are we talking about one of those short turn lanes or long ones?

its kind of hard to tell with out visuals.

This. At least scan and post the police sketch `of the scene from the accident report, so we have some idea.

because #1 got over into the turning lane so she kept forward without slowing down. when the car made the turn, it was too late. they didn't hit hard and nearly didn't. but they did

Vehicle #2 has established presence in the lane.

Vehicle #1 is in a different lane.

Vehicle #1 turns across Vehicle #2's lane. The two vehicles collide.

The accident would not have occurred had Vehicle #1 stayed in it's lane.

Therefore, Vehicle #1 is at fault.

So V1 was ahead of you, left the travel lane and went into the turning lane to the left, then made a sudden right turn across your lane and you t-boned them?

If so, I think you're getting paid Baw.

yep
wouldn't call it t-boned. but yeah, front qtr panel hit #1 in the passenger door and grazed it all up to the front

that's exactly what the police chief said when we talked with him. State farm is trying to see it differently. both drivers have SF

To keep from slowing down because vehicle two was riding their arse.

Video could implicate both drivers as being at fault.

Would be curious to know about any admissions by the parties involved.

On its face as described, unit 1 guilty of improper lane usage, possible failure to signal lane change or turn.

Unless he instigated the incident what relevance does his opinion have in this incident?

So the police report says that driver 1 is at fault and you think the insurance company will try to say differently?

6-7 car lengths when driver gets into turn lane. 2-3 when they make the turn
