When I was king dinga-ling of our HOA I’d get this from a few people. I’d tell them they were welcome to manage the leg work of making people follow the rules and they’d work off their dues by managing it. Never got an agreement from anyone.

If they are simply sending you notices and have not taking the steps to escalate it; how do you know they are not doing to the same to these houses that you claim are violating the covenants?

They will lien the property after a while. I believe liens go against credit reports.

Them not enforcing all covs and res do not excuse you from paying your dues.

Tell em to frick off BabyTac. Don't pay those scum bags one red cent if they aren't enforcing their own rules. Document what they are not enforcing and tell them to go get fricked.

Your HOA should provide or at least make readily available financial statements that show where your money goes.

Insurance on common areas, lawn care of common areas. And pond upkeep are largest HoA costs

I’m in no way pro HOA but I’m also not going to be forced to pay hundreds of bucks to someone not doing their job.
Whoa, HUNDREDS of dollars here?

Leave some pussy for the rest of us, Commodore Vanderbilt!

You are arguably deriving some benefits from the HOA even if there are scofflaws not abiding by the covenants.

Just pay the money and stop being that guy.

Possibly put a lien on your property that would have to be taken care of if you ever sell your house.

Would love them to take your house and evict you. Pay your bills.

Put a lien on your property. It’s easy for them to do. Go to the meeting and see what the board will concede. Best of luck.

We have a couple in our neighborhood that refuse to pay. It will be an issue if they decide to sell.

Example, 1 homeowner install portable shed & the HOA does nothing. But OP doesn't pay fees.

This fricker down the street has porta potty’s in his front yard and other crap and our ball-less HOA does about it.

I’ve documented several. To name a few….

Have you informed the board/officers/management company? I am on the board of a HOA with over 500 homes, we don't have a management company so unless it is on a board members drive in and out of the neighborhood we don't know about it unless it is something weird that our security company brings to our attention.

You need to fix this asap.. I understand your hate …but do not do this… there are usually penalties..interest..late fees etc.. will add up… they will put a lien on your house…
And btw.. all you did is not pay your share of upkeep for the area… they may be a problem.. but maybe they are not doing everything you want cause so many of you not paying you dues they are short of cash
