That's concerning. The shop could have toasted the motor, then filled it with fresh oil.

I don’t think this happened. The cops showed up unannounced and picked the bike up. They wouldn’t have had an opportunity to do this.

Yup, and last year it was the poster who found the stolen boat.

It was actually Honkus. Or more specifically, Ping.

I remember that! Didn't some one come on to report their boat was just stolen and another poster reported seeing it in real time at a gas station or something. Called the police and got it returned if I remember correctly. Awesomeness.

Phase 2 of this was just set into motion.

This is the part where everyone freaks out because they realize how deep the hole they dug actually is.

Not exactly sure how this will play out but handcuffs may be involved.

I'll likely be able to give a full rundown before next Friday. When I do it isn't up to me but how other things go that are outside of my control.

Ok folks, I'm going to hold off on a summary. Most of what I believed is wrong.

This just took a HUGE left turn and has become 100 times more entertaining.

This was entertaining but now it's turned into those Facebook spam posts.

"Stolen bike recovered, you won't believe the details on page 36..."

I assure you, you will understand in a few days. I guess that makes it even worse. LOL.

How about this?

The OP and I found proof of some stuff and I made law enforcement aware tonight and where they could find the proof.
I expect something to happen in the next week. The crimes aren't misdemeanors.

I was able to pick the ignition lock on it. After checking the oil (which was clean) I tried to fire it up.

It has some electrical gremlins or I was doing something wrong. It didn't turn over.

I've got an old friend back home who's a motorcycle mechanic. I haven't talked to him in years, but he's a good guy. He may be able to give you some pointers, if I can get in contact with him.

It's all good. I've been wrenching on stuff all my life. If I run up against something I can't figure out I might reach out.

Once the bike is up and running, please go do burnouts and donuts in the parking lot of the assholes at the shop.

Thanks.

I’ve rebuilt a few sport bikes over the years, if you want to post what is/isn’t happening when you turn the ignition on, I may be able to help.
