Hopefully our new millennials will be able to read that.

I appreciate the art of classical cursive writing.

Ya, but at 32 years old, I write everything in cursive, ie my work notes. If I wrote in print it would take me forever.

Why write anything? It can all be done on the computer

Lugging the work laptop on and off the desktop dock for meetings and impromptu meetings is more annoying than just jotting down notes. Also, dealing with healthcare information, the damn thing is usually secured by a lock that you have to undo and resecure all the time.

I'm not advocating anything, I'm not some Luddite

"The great battle for human freedom" wasn't it just a complex land grab attempt. That a bunch of people had to die for? The other crazy thing is that most of the royal leaders for both sides were cousins

All grandchildren of Queen Victoria, I believe - at least George, Wilhelm, and Nicolas.

Wilhelm actually held a courtesy commission in the Royal Navy supposedly with uniform and everything that he resigned at the start of WWI. Theres tons of little stories like that for WW I, especially because there wasnt really the same good vs evil dynamic that there was in WWII.

Also, Britian very nearly didnt enter WW I at all, had Belgium not been invaded. If that didnt happen they would have stayed neutral and modern France would be very different, not to mention Hitler most likely not rising to power.

Theres a good argument to be had that if America/Britain had not entered WW I, Europe would have been better off afterward because WWII doesnt happen.

Interesting theory. Another way to look at it is would have WW2 happened if America got into WW1 sooner? Total victory in the Great War May have completely prevented WW2. WW2 happened because WW1 never actually ended

That’s an awkward sentence. Almost a run on.
