Theres a good argument to be had that if America/Britain had not entered WW I, Europe would have been better off afterward because WWII doesnt happen.
Alternatively, revolution breaks out in defeated Britain or France instead of or in addition to Russia, and WWII happens anyway with the belligerents on opposite sides than in our timeline.
I believe there are tides to history, and the big events are mostly inevitable, with only the details to be filled in.

I doubt that very highly. Both sides held very socialistic viewpoints in the war, especially the French and Germans. I think all that would've happened is you would've swapped a Third Reich for another French Revolution.
You've gotta remember, Germany already held French territory after 1870 and the French hated them for that. What do you think would happen if the Germans took over all of France? What do you think would happen if the Germans took over all of Europe and broke Russia up?
At that point in time, a general European conflict happened about once every 50 years, WWII would've happened either way.
Now, do I think that had the Schlieffen Plan worked and the Germans actually stuck to it in the beginning that a lot less people would've died? Hell yes I do. But the Germans' actions in Belgium turned the entire European state against them. Except for Austria-Hungary. The London Pact was signed by Great Britain, France, and Russia in direct response to Germany's actions in Belgium.

You’re correct about the cousins part but land grab? lol hardly. Try listening to Hardcore History. You would be amazed about WW1.

Perhaps if The Germans were not defeated in the first then Hitler is unlikely to rise to the power he held Hitlers belief that the Russians had to be exterminated is what lost them WWII.

When you say “lol hardly” are you inferring that the Triple Entente and Central powers weren’t going to take major swathes of defeated enemy territory?

I was referring to the good guys. Yes Germany was trying to get a seat at the table and was all worried about being “surrounded “
