I need a Honda key cut/programmed

dealership wants $157

I can find blanks online but dealership will only cut keys purchased from them.

Are there any locksmiths in Baton Rouge that cut/program car keys?

As a token of my gratitude, please accept these gearbabes

Tiger locksmith is the only answer. Stand up guy and way cheaper than dealerships.
He's a mobile locksmith too and will come to you.

I really wish I knew the answer, because you asked in a very polite manner.

My Dad had to get a key made the other day. Said Autozone was well priced.
Think he said transponder keys, were only $80.

The last time I got laser cut keys for 3 Mercedes Benzes I was busted by the cops because my guy at the dealership snitched on me.

The extra $40 is worth it because he is a stand up guy.

I think there's a place on the corner of Laurel St. and N. Foster Dr. that does it or in that vicinity. It's been a while since I've been that way but the last time I was down there they had a sign outside for programming keys.

I think that's the problem.

OP, last time I checked on this the dealer was the best deal. It was for a Honda, too.

I got a $40 key from lowes for a 07 Yukon which you program yourself at the vehicle. Not sure how much more fancy the Honda key may be.

Go to American Key and Safe. Had to do this about a month ago. They were able to take the guts out for the fob and put them in a blank and cut it to match without having to reprogram anything. Think I paid $87 and had everything done in about 20 minutes. Real nice people, stand up guy and cheapest option I found without having to wait to have a blank shipped to me. It was for an 03 Accord

My ACE Hardware will cut them for free, though they do not guarantee the cut (I have never had on not work). I program them myself, usually requires two other working keys.

When did this become something you should be expected to pay more for? Is he really that stand up of a guy if he over charges comparatively just because he is "one of the good guys"?

I was mocking the guy who replied saying to use tiger locksmith and pay double because he is a stand up guy. I expect someone to be a stand up guy whenever I am paying or their services. I wouldn't pay anything extra but if I can get a good deal and know that the quality of the work done is par or better I go with the stand up guy over ACE hardware that doesn't stand by their work

Where did I say pay more? That guy saved me $400 compared to the dealer on 2 keys so I assumed, incorrectly, that he would be cheaper for the OP. It was worth a shot at least.
