I am tall so the long flight in cramped space is very uncomfortable for me.
Also, the effect of being forced into this position for a long time is bad for human blood circulation.
I get up ASAP for relief - even though I do not expect to leave the plane any sooner.

I always sit in the aisle.

I stand, get my bags together in my seat so I’m ready. Then I generally ask the other seats if they want me to get their bags down.

Then I wait my turn.

That seems like a good process that nobody should be annoyed by.

I’m the exact opposite. I book every flight I take at the back of the plane on a aisle seat and when everyone is in a mad arse rush to get off I usually just get up and go to the restroom while everybody just stands waiting for the aisle to clear. One less thing I have to do once I’m off the plane.

Said aisle fits one person

More like 1.5

The solution is to be prepared and move as fast as you can to not inconvenience others. 80% of PAX on a plane can do neither. I don't run people over, but nor do I stand in the aisle at row 20 waiting for the window seat in row 19 to figure out where they are going to put their iPad before they stand up.

I may or may not be you. And I always have an aisle seat.

I see nothing wrong with standing as soon as you can as long as you aren't angling to bum rush people. But, I'll admit the everyone getting up and moving and seeming like they're jockeying for position gives me mild anxiety and that's probably why I don't particularly like it. I'm the opposite of an anxious person, but it just makes me feel like I should be doing the same and elbowing people out

I've been sitting for several hours and I want to stretch? Plus if you have the aisle seat, the middle and window neighbors are expecting you to stand up anyway.

Exactly. I cannot stay in my seat in row 12 while 25 rows behind me everyone is getting up and standing in the aisle. So, yeah, I get up and stand my ground, so no one gets by the first 12 rows before I get off the plane.

But I'm never dilly dallying around and always have my shite ready to go. I do not even have a problem with people ahead of me being a little slower getting their belongings gathered to get off.

My only gripe is the assholes not letting row by row deplane in order. I have never heard anyone panicking and saying they have a connection, so if they're pushing up to get off first, they're just being selfish assholes. There are of course instances where you can see someone is going to take a very long time so you just walk by them.

That too. Lately I've had the row immediately behind me or second row behind me somehow get up to right where I'm sitting (in the aisle 90% of the time). I cannot think of anything that annoys me more.

I am fairly quick to try and stand up, but these people are hankering and sometimes get right up beside you before you even have a chance. What the frick do they think they're doing or accomplishing?

If you ever been on a busy flight, then you would understand the people standing up block other people from getting their bags.

I'm not a tall person and I can't stand up in a plane unless I'm in the aisle. So, if everyone on the plane stands up in the aisle all at once, it's not going to work.

I consider these folks the same as those who don't return their shopping cart to the corral.

Some of the worst people in the world. I was at Walmart the other day to pick up a couple of things for an office Christmas party (I know, I'm a poor). When I got back to my car 1 cart was halfway in the corral, 1 was directly behind it but not connected, and a 3rd was on the side of the 1st. It took me all of 5 seconds to push the two into the corral and then move the 3rd and add mine. Why are people like that?

As for people standing up when you land I do think some people just want to stretch but the majority are impatient and a subset of that are just assholes.

I have noted a group of people who detest folks who stand up when the plane gets to the gate and the seatbelt sign goes off. Why does it bother you?

I don’t mind people standing up, but once people start standing up some people are looking to cause trouble. Probably 1/5 are doing it to cut in front of someone which is just a really stupid thing to do.

These are the same people that go sit down at a crowded restaurant with counter service while one person in the group waits to order. The system breaks down when people try to improve their position.
