My nephew was 3 when we tried it for the first time...after he hit me in the gonads for the second time in 10 minutes, we went back inside to watch some cartoons.

My boy started coaches pitch/T-Ball yesterday. So, yesterday. I'm going to brag because I'm a proud dad. He only got to bat twice and hit both of the first pitches. If you missed five pitches got to use the tee.

Eta: He is 6.

One of our boys was 2 and we would throw rag balls to him in the den. When he started knocking pictures off the wall and wrecking stuff, we moved outside. He was well coordinated early.

If they've got good athletic ability it doesn't matter the age....they will pick it up quickly

He will be if he takes after his pops. Golf isn’t a real sport.

I left headphones on my girls stomach while she was pregnant. Just an audio book about basic technique. Taught him with a baby bat as soon as he could walk. Now at 4 he is getting looks from some of the more reputable travel ball teams in our area. Right now I make him hit 200 balls a day in the new batting cage Santa just left outside our home. He doesn’t love it to be honest but one day he’ll prob thank me.

My boy is 4, and I never taught him how to ‘swing’, so to speak... just showed him where to put his hands and feet and he did the rest by himself... even has a nice little follow through on his backswing

He hits off the tee, but likes when I pitch to him, but when I do, I have to throw it into his sweet spot for him to make contact.. he also watches the movie sandlot religiously and it’s frickin awesome
