Severe watery eyes for over a year now. Some days better than others of course. Sometimes it looks like I've been cry hard for hours. Went to an allergist. Ran some tests, etc., Some trees and stuff he said may be causing the problem. Prescribed some very expensive drops that did no good.
In your opinion what is the best over the counter eye drops for this?

OTers really are superior, and really are experts on any and everything, really just have to ask them

Take pills or get shots. If that doesn't fix it, either nut up and deal with it, or figure out what the problem actually is

Start drinking heavy more often.

Benefits include but not limited to:
-Having a real good time being drunk.
-Being dehydrated and waking up with dry eyes due to the dehydration.

In addition to allergy shots, and before I started them, Claritin 1x / day, Ayr saline mist 2x / day BEFORE Flonase 1 spray 2x per day worked well to help control my allergies, which exploded when I moved to NOLA

Sounds crazy but not every medication works in 100% of patients. Did you call you allergist and tell him the drops weren't helpful?

The thing that works best for me is to stick my head under a cold shower every hour or so when it's bad.

Allergy shots are the only thing that work for the serious shite. Claratin and the like only marginally improved shite for me.

Some good news: My allergies get better every year. My eyes used to be watery as frick for a solid 2 months each year, accompanied by a nose so clogged that I had to mouth-breathe to fall asleep. The allergy shots helped a good bit, but not perfect. Claratin didn't do shite when it was REALLY bad, but helped when it was moderate. At my first job (where I stayed for ~9 years), I went a 4 year stretch without taking a sick day until, one day, my eyes were watering so badly that I couldn't function. Had to get a cab ride home.

That was my entire life. But I'm about to turn 34, and over the past 3 or 4 years, it's been WAY better than it used to be. Eyes water moderately for about 2 weeks per year. Nose is almost always a bit clogged, but not mouth-breathing bad. Haven't had an allergy shot in nearly a decade and only take Claratin when it's bad. So if you're a youngin, take some comfort in the fact that some people grow out of that shite.

Gonna get downvoted for this but its the honest to god truth.

Went through this 2 years ago, went through everything even sinus surgery. It ended up being I developed an allergy to hops. I gave up beer a year and a half ago and haven't had an allergy pain since. Began to appreciate rye but it still sucks, but living pain free has been worth it.
