My right hip has been bothering me for months. No trauma to speak of, but it aches all the time. I've been using kinesiotape in hopes that it's just IT band syndrome, but I'm afraid I may need to see an ortho soon.

Where do you live? Because if you are in New Orleans or Baton Rouge there is no point in traveling outside of your city.

Lance Estrada, New Orleans.

Great surgeon, with an awesome, down to earth bedside manner...

Did both my hip replacements. It just sucked I had to have them replaced at such a young age. Arthritis sucks...

Dr. Bart Wax in NOLA or someone in their group. They do a lot of the work for Saints players, politicians etc. that group is the best. Would highly recommend since they are specialists (hand specialist, hip specialist etc) not just orthopedists.

Roch Hontas or Joe LaMartina in Covington. Anyone in that office is excellent.

Dr. Greg Stocks @ Texas Orthopedic Hospital here in Houston.

He’s treated numerous professional athletes for hip issues. My wife (no pics) worked there for 10 years. If he’s unavailable then ask for Dr. Robert Kearns, he’s also very good.

If it’s a hip replacement you need, you need to go to Shardhar in Shreveport. The anterior approach to the hip replacement is the way to go. Shardhar is the first author on the paper that first described the approach with his mentor Mata out at USC. You will not be disappointed
