I don’t think I agree with that. I was unemployed for 4 months this year. I almost emptied my cash savings/rainy day fund and it’s going to take a long time to recover but other than deepening by deep settled frugality, but otherwise, I’m ok.
I don’t get how people can live like they do. I’m just a loss. I made very very very very very little money in 2018. I still managed to live in a major metro neighborhood in a decent apartment and managed to continue to do things.

Yep. Staying in Disney another night because of this. Flight back home was supposed to leave at 3 and was cancelled.
