The crux of the issue.

aren’t missing days of school for mental health.
This guy has literally never missed a day of work or school for any other reasons other than being deathly ill

I’m not claiming that it’s a cakewalk for everybody, it wasn’t necessarily a cakewalk for me then either, but to think that I would’ve needed free days off because of something as vague as ‘mental health’ is cringeworthy. I couldn’t imagine being such a weak bitch that high school made me go catatonic and need a day off. Jesus, toughen the frick up people. There’s difficulties in all aspects of life
Where did you go to school?

Yeah, no one here believes that.

Nah. He’s just a military guy that thinks if you didn’t serve that life “isn’t hard”.

Good grief, so now kids in school get vacation days?
Posted on 7/24/19 at 9:59 am to kywildcatfanone
Kids have always gotten those days in the state of Kentucky. Wasn’t your wife a teacher? They get 10 EHO (Educational Enrichment Days) a year beyond their sick days.

I fricking hated high school. Once I got out, and there wasn’t so much pressure to fit in, or have the right friends, or say the right things, It was so much easier to navigate my way through life.
And as you look back, HS is nothing but a memory of a short period of life that many of us can look back on, and simply laugh at all the stupid shite we used to do to fit in. Once you experience the military, college, or whatever avenue you chose to pursue and embark into a professional career, HS was such a small formality.

You’ve said in at least three posts that it wasn’t difficult for you.

I really hope no one close to you is having any mental health struggles because you would quite literally make their lives worse. Your understanding of mental health is weapons-grade terrible.

You did.
Now don't be a pussy and crawfish.

Yes, and the people in here will say if you say anything against their little wallflower mentalities, then you’re a bad guy.
It’s bullshite.

That’s why I chuckle when I see HS kids make a big deal about finishing HS. Painting their cars with cute little slogans. Having parties and celebrating etc etc.
You’re celebrating moving on to being an adult. Congrats

The problem is, things like the internet/social media have made it far more difficult for things we did/said in HS to be a “small formality”.
I thank my lucky stars every day I didn’t have to deal with social media in HS. Because once it’s out there, it’s out there. Just look at the people the media have drug up old social media posts from high school on in the last few years.
It’s very different from when I was in HS several years ago.

Now you're going to act persecuted because your shitty take was exposed.

I don’t think that at all. Life is difficult for everybody. But that doesn’t mean that you should get to just shirk your responsibilities.

You obviously aren’t evolving along with the world around you. Congrats on being an old grouchy bastard no one wants to be around. You’ll probably die alone.
