OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says they arrested a man on Sunday after he tried to get into a home by pretending to be an undercover FBI agent.
According to an arrest report, 45-year-old Rodney Griffin allegedly went to a home on Bawcom Street and identified himself as an undercover FBI agent, saying he needed to get inside as part of an investigation. He left before law enforcement arrived at the victim's home, but was found a short time later in the King Street area.
When the deputy found him, the report states, he again identified himself as an undercover FBI agent and said he was investigating a criminal conspiracy. He said he needed to get inside a house to retrieve his gun and badge. After being read his rights, Griffin insisted he was an FBI agent, gave a badge number, and named several OPSO deputies as his superior officers.
Griffin was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and false impersonation of a peace officer, which is a felony.
Griffin also has an extensive arrest record, having been arrested at least three dozen times in Ouachita Parish, Monroe, West Monroe, and Union Parish. His history includes arrests for theft, battery, trespassing, resisting an officer, illegal possession of stolen things, illegal possession of a firearm by a felon, unauthorized use of a movable, multiple DWIs, domestic abuse, and various drug charges.

When you are hammered, high, or just need a fix, your brain can tell you that all sorts of things sound like the ultimate plan and you are Keizer Soze'
This guy probably thought he would get away with it no problem.

Seems like a mentally stable productive member of society

I wish you'd stick to posting things like this.
Judging by his past record, he should already be in jail for a while. And I'm not someone in favor of locking everyone up, but at what point do we realize some people will never change unless they are out of society for a while and receive some help.

When I was bad off on opiates, I did some things that were crazy and that I wouldn't/couldn't even think up when I'm sober. I'd probably laugh at them if it wasn't so sad.

And how this scum isn’t doing time in prison, instead of walking the streets is beyond words.

He was probably super deep cover and his boss told him if he gets caught they’ll have to deny any knowledge of him.

Pretty much what I thought Bawcom street would look like. All it's missing is a Sonic on the corner.
