I'd be using the mid-level base for either. Latex Interior Satin.

Do you mow your lawn in a golf course pattern?

Bher paint plus primer is what we painted the interior of our house with both times, so thats what Id recommend.

Consumer Reports does pretty exhaustive testing of paints every few years and Behr is always at the top of the rankings.

I ended up buying 3 gallons of SW a few weeks back to paint my bedroom from a very dark color to Amazing Gray. Pleased with the product, but make sure you catch their sale going on (check local area) because if you don't, it is expensive.

Also, if your paint can is dented, ask for an additional discount.

Build about 80 houses a year and have never had problems with SW.

The cheaper one. They're both quality.

Worked w an Uncle who painted houses for a living during High Schoool and college for some extra money. All he used was Benjamin Moore. I've used other paints but have found it really is the best for quality and consistency.

Yeah we just painted our entire house interior. Did it 10 years ago with Behr. It took two SOLID coats. Used BM for most, and SW on a room or two, this time around. Still used two coats (always looks nicer) but could have gotten away with one coat with the rooms we used the BM. It covered so much better than Behr and still noticeably better than the SW.

ETA Behr has likely made improvements to their formulations in the past 10 years.

BM has best colors. All painters I know use SW or PPG

Just painted nearly every room in our house. SW primer was by far better than Behr. SW paint seemed to cover better than Behr. We did one room in Benjamin Moore paint which turned out the best...it comes with a hefty price tag though

Look when you get up to all those upper end paints, they all are pretty damn good and the industry has progressed a ton of the the last 10-15 years. As long as you take the time to prep and do all the leg work, the paint will look amazing. Thing is, the paint quality has went up but so has the prices.

Almost anytime with at least one of the brands you can find some sorta coupon or deal running. Check Benjamin, Behr, Sherwin, Valspar Signature.... you can usually find something like $5 off each gallon or maybe a $20 off 5 gallon bucket something like that running... and like I said make sure to spend enough time with the prep

good luck on your expensive DIY endeavor
