The job loss aspect of AI is getting a little overblown. Yes there will be industries where jobs decrease, however, there will still be tax preparers. It's just 1 tax preparer will do the job of 20 utilizing AI.
While a powerful tool, AI isn't magic. New industries and new jobs will be created. There will always be a demand for smart people who know how to leverage powerful tools.

One or the other, sure. I dont think both.
Who am i kidding, no one makes sane decisions. They’ll let AI do the accounting and audit itself

Skilled craftsmanship in construction will always be in demand. AI might design what they build, however, AI Managers should make bank. They will consult with buyers and plug in data until AI determines it can ask the questions and input the data itself without someone to manage it. It will always follow through on meeting appointments and with the information required. It will also eliminate inside design examination by people, getting designs approved and speed up the permitting process.

Regurgitated text. Some call it plagiarism.

Lawyers actually are somewhat in danger, they're creating / created AI that goes through old case law and creates a defense.

Chicken should use AI to replace the site moderators. They can always learn to code...lol, AI can do that too.
They could clean Chickens coop.

Explain
"Higher end" lawyering is like Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax Law, Corporate Law, complicated contractual transactions, etc.
THAT is the stuff AI can do well. You give it a set code base and with those rules it will write you contracts or analyze your tax liabilities, etc. easily. When AI is writing the tax rules, corporate charters, and contracts, AI will write it all in a way how it interprets it. Any disagreement will be worked out with AI.
Now, lower level lawyering like family law, criminal law, etc. will always require people in the system. People are chaos. A system comprised of individuals, relying on individuals to provide crucial data can never have the set parameters like a tax system or corporate legal system.

Chronically late clients, crying clients, clients who don't understand what you're trying to explain, AI ain't putting up with that shite

I'd say any profession that has a governing body will see a slower, more gentle transition to AI. For example, the AICPA will still require a CPA's signoff on audit reports, as will the PCAOB, even as AI takes more tasks on in those professions.

Think that group is in the top too. AI already doing research and writing memos and briefs better than top lawyers with less errors and much quicker.

In other words: If your job can be done from home, your job is first on the list for AI replacement.

This list is good for about 10 years, in 20 years, they will all be majorly disrupted.
