I absolutely love seeing this. Humility at its finest. It certainly takes an edge to get there, but remember where you come from. These are also still very young men.

And yet… he sincerely and politely shares what he knows with others. That’s what educated people do.

He was engaging, funny, and seems to be a good football player. Not sure what else you want out of an athlete.

True story, i once went into an Academy or an REI (cant remember which) in Houston TX in July, thinking exactly like this young man, that it would be a fantastic time to get a good deal on a nice winter coat.. this older guy working there asked ‘Can i help you ?’ And i said ‘yeah im looking for a heavy North Face or Patagonia coat, where can i find those’ and his response was “In Colorado.. .. he said they didnt sell winter coats in Texas in July .

Some kids just gotta leave home and get away. Seems like it worked for Coleman, I hope he can have a successful career.

Devery Henderson
CeeDee Lamb*
Keon Coleman

Opelousas has produced some NFL WR talent.

*CeeDee was born in Opelousas. His family moved to New Orleans before Katrina, then relocated to the Houston area in the aftermath.

Given how much talent there is in this state, it’s such a goofy mentality for people to still hold - especially in a case like this where you certainly can’t point to a glaring hole he might have filled. I mean, we had TWO first round draft receivers. Where was this guy gonna get plugged in?

Keon is a good kid, my cousin coached him at OC. I can forgive him for not transferring to LSU now that he's not at FSU anymore to give our corner backs fits.
