Find the right one and it will be fine. Run away from alcoholics and drug addicts. Avoid the ones with bad relationships with money. If possible, try to make sure the values are aligned on faith, politics and finances.

**also make sure that she’s straight. One of my buddies from undergrad married one that ended up with a chick. As hot as it sounds….I heard it was devastating to him and their family.

Probably bc you can’t. Waiting until my 30’s to get married was the best decision I’ve made. Had fun for a while now love a woman who makes enough that a FA handles our backdoor each year.

You mean the right one for 15 years or so until one day she wakes up and says I want a divorce?

Guess what? You have no say so in the matter. There is no "make it work " when she decides she doesn't want to make it work.

Women start most divorces, 70 or 80% , for several main reasons. They are usually well compensated financially, they don't want the married responsibilities anymore, bored, and they have zero emotions about all of the things you have done for her over the years she spent with you. She couldn't care less that you improved her life, she only thinks about herself and what she wants to do.
