...when they overstep their bounds and put on their big boy pants.

"Remember this moment."

Old boss taught me that. And after the whiney little tirade I just had to listen to, it came out effortlessly.

Pro tip for those with millennial staff

“Let’s do your performance review.”

“You may get transferred to Jackson.”

“You have a service call out on Iroquois.”

“Go fill up this specimen cup.”

We don't have HR. We have attorneys.

I don't say anything. When they report back the next morning, they'll just find their favorite pet's severed head on their desk. I'm not saying that I cut their pet's head off, it's just something's that tends to happen.

No one can take any sort of criticism these days. You trying to help someone and show them the right way is some how a personal attack against them.

“Step inside my office, shut the door.”

Nothing good happens to an underlying after that sentence is uttered.

Nah, makes it more fun to pull their access and kill their phone on a Friday afternoon and fire them Monday morning.

Sad part is, a simple apology and admission of incompetence would work for me. I'm actually a fairly nice guy

You are a millennial. Don't pretend otherwise.

Remember this moment.

By using the past tense, you admit that you are a millennial, otherwise you would have said "I AM Generation Y.

Who are these pussies you accuse of having reclassified the name?

I explain to em... I am trusting em with my job, if I don't feel good about their ability to handle job duties.... I will find someone who can. Nothing more than business. Cuz at the end of the day, its my responsibility to build the strongest team possible and get the job done.
