I had the same result when I quit dipping. Dreams were so real that I had one make me think I had taken a dip and ended my two year streak haha
I think everyone I've ever talked to who quit dipping or chew has had that same dream where we wake up with a mouth full of fluid because we were dreaming we had some in and were afraid to swallow.

They say weed isn’t addictive but it definitely is,

I agree 100% with that. Marijuana gets very good press. It's a treatment for almost everything and has no negative side effects.

Anything that makes you feel good can be addictive. Good for you for beating an addiction. I’ve come to realize that I have a toxic relationship with being addictive to things. It can range from alcohol to music. I’m slowly getting back to working out so hoping my addictive personality gravitates back to that.

Smoked every day in college until midway through senior year, roommates sold pot so always had access...one day I said no more..47 now and have smoked a dozen times in 25 years - didn't enjoy it

Except making the user a dullard.

Yeah man I think it’s all genetic, some people are addictive to things and some aren’t. Those that aren’t don’t understand it. Recognizing it can go a long way because you can consciously addict yourself to positive things.
For example I’ve “addicted” myself to being happy around my daughter at all times, if I’m ever in a bad mood around her I snap right out of it.

It’s also about finding the support group who realizes that too. Family, friends,
Church groups, etc. If you can realize you have an addictive personality (whether genetics vs upbringing) and focus it on good habits, you’ll win the happiness lottery. But damn it’s a hard thing to do.

If you've been doing something daily for 20+ years, you're literally addicted to it

Gave up weed for lent and it’s been one week. Looking to integrate that going forward. I’ve not smoked weed for extended periods of time but then come back to it and would/have smoked a damn good bit. Living in a legal state and can see a dispensary from my window so whenever I’m bored is when it can be the most tempting but have been good about it. Remembering my main reasons as to why I moved here makes it easier not to mention the money I’m saving. I know deep down that the person I am now/becoming that weed doesn’t serve a purpose in my life anymore and only brings me down and need to remember that. My dreams have just started to come back in full force for better or worse

You can take the weed out the Dim but you can't take the Dim out of the Dim

Amateurs. I know a guy that drinks beer while chewing tobacco.

I have the opposite experience of OP.... I just retired from the military after 31 years and decided to try gummies. I think they are amazing. I sleep better and dream vividly. I'm not addicted whatsoever... I take them a few times a week, but it's not difficult to go days without any. And most importantly, they kick the shite out of hangovers. It really is a miracle drug to me.

One month weed free
Congrats man! I was a daily heavy smoker for about 5 years. Agree with the weed being addicting part, it really is. Been basically weed free for 6 years now. I've smoked 3 or 4 times since then. It's amazing how much more driven I was once I quit relying on that stuff every day.

Congrats, Stonehog!
Think of the cash you'll be saving now
Don't regret it. You've learned. That's a blessing.
