One dead after pickup truck hits overpass pillar on I-49 in Caddo Parish

I stopped on the side of I-10 after we watched a pickup just ahead of us depart the road at full speed, cross the ditch and head into the woods.
Ran down there and into the woods and came up on the truck. It was split in half around a tree just like that photo. As I approached with my flashlight, the driver stepped out of the truck (there was no door and he literally just stepped out onto the ground from the seat) and walked past me back towards the road. Dude was a little bloodied up but not seriously injured. He was also blitzed drunk. LSP showed up a few minutes later and hooked him up.
