The 5.0 gets just as good mpg as the eco.
Lariat and above 4x4 if you can get 10k off sticker or 8k with 0 percent that's a good deal. 16 model better navigation unit. I've had a few bugs with my 15. There's a few TSBs on the 15s now.

Are you towing anything heavy?
I would go with the 3.5 over the 5.0. If you're not towing anything over 9k lbs get the 2.7. It's fast and gets 20.5 average mpg . Sports package seats are the best.

leather interior is definitely OT baller
The leather is nice but if you look around even in the top trims parts of the interior look and feel cheap. My opinion.

Gotta have Yeti stickers on corners of rear window.

If you aren't set on a Ford, there's a pretty good rebate on the Denali right now. I have a 15 with the 6.2, unbelievable truck.

I read the horror stories about Robinson Brothers, however when it was all said and done, they beat everyone's price including Mack Haik (sp?) in Houston.

I, as well, will be in the market for a new truck as well. Probably Christmastime though, gonna hit up the end of year specials - not going to need anything soon.

I'm pretty dead set on the Platinum with tech package. Just trying to decide on the color now.

I have a 4x4 Lariat, but it's a 2012. Love the truck. I also avoided the ecoboost. Went with the 6.2 V8. Probably the best engine they have, unfortunately I think they're done making them.
One thing I do advise, I got the max tow package with the telescopic mirrors. They are the bomb. If you have the opportunity, get them. They are amazing at backing shite up and just for driving in general. Literally no blind spot.
A brand new one will be north of $50K sticker.

The ecoboost out performs the v8 in performance. I have 65k miles on mine with no issues

I have 111K on my 6.2 without any issues at all. Also have a friend who has a Raptor with the same engine with 160K who also has had no issues. Granted, I can't speak on the 5.0 V8.
I've known two people with ecoboosts who have had power issues. Small sample, I know, but they both regretted not getting the V8.

The only question I have about the 6 is longevity. Obviously, the 5.0 is bulletproof.

No Yeti sticker=no care

There's a thread on a ford forum out there about a guy who put 300k on a 3.5 ecoboost. I think I'd trust the 3.5 by now...the 2.7 is too damn small

Obviously how?
Technically the ecoboost in an older engine than the coyote

Don't get it from Robinson Brothers. Their service department is shitty.
Understatement of the year.
I have a video of one of their techs having to drive out to blubonnet because his dumb arse forgot to put the clamp on the radiator hose when he had to change the cam sensor under warranty in my buddy's truck.
Engine dumped coolant, and ran hot. This is a 5.0 2016.
Saving the video in case it shows any drop of compression in thw next 50k miles.

It's like people will believe whatever they want to believe regardless of the proof.
