Something doesn't look right, Ward Creek drains into Amite upstream of where Bayou Manchac ties in and over a foot lower?

I'm no hydrologist, but I'd imagine the distance that water needs to travel and the velocity of that water in the Amite has a lot to do with it. Basically, the water flows to lower elevations, and while Ward Creek is lower than the Bayou Manchac gage, Bayou Manchac is still lower than Denham Springs, and that water will still flow towards Bayou Manchac because it is already moving in that direction in the Amite.
In other words, it would rather flow downstream to Bayou Manchac @ 17ft than it would "upstream" to the Ward Creek gage even though it is at 16.88 ft.

Whats yall thoughts on Legacy Hills taking on water? Got a good friend who lives in there and his pond is up several inches from yesterday morning. Im guessing this would be some back flow from the "trickle" over 74 at Oak Ally or would this water be coming from some other location?
The dude is a nervous wreck and hes just about out of Whiskey

No change at Bayou Fountain (15.02').
Dawson & Ward dropped another 1.25". Manchac @ Little Prairie dropped 1.5"! Port Vincent dropped 1.2". French Settlement went up .12".

We also don't know what depth the water is @ Santa Maria where Ward/Dawson tie back into Manchac. Could be 15' there which would draw the water from those creeks down.

I'm not saying the gauge is wrong, but it's coming up.

Starting to see some people give up the fight on Ridge. Wafb at Alligator Bayou now.
Just talked to someone with the State. They are prepared to start staging boats on stand by for Ridge. They are gonna hold off as long as people are ok and still busting arse to full bags.

i have a feeling bayou fountain is partially feeding this issue.

Eighth drop at Bayou Fountain (15.01').
Manchac @ Little Prairie down by 1.5" (16.98') Dawson & Ward both dropped 1.32".

Bayou Fountain is still barely falling. The water didn't get as high as I had feared, but it's taking a long time to drop.

More flooding is going to happen. They were checking because water is over the road in 4 or 5 spots and it seems it's a losing battle. People who had 4 and 5 pumps running have decided to give up because they are losing ground. Right now high trucks and ATVs only can travel to the back.
