Sorry if I'm not following everything, has New River risen at all? And if it starts to receive this flow, which areas will see the effects first? New River spans a long way and feeds into a lot of different waterways from what I can tell through the map on my iPhone

Eighth of an inch drop at Bayou Fountain (15.02').

Dawson & Ward creek that are feeding back to Manchac by Santa Maria are dropping about 1.25" per hour. That's a good sign that Manchac is going down.

Amen. I've got right at a foot left. Hoping and praying it stops coming up soon. Do y'all think the water flowing over 74 is helping to slow the rise inside bluff swamp?

the trickle?

I guess the rise Saturday in Old Mill lake was from the initial flash flood with the rain. Now everything from Bluff Swamp would take a while to get to OM

correct, the rise on the pond was from the rain water and storm water from Friday/Saturday.

And just imagine how slow those locks empty. They are going to be pumping this shite for weeks. The carp will be on fire at the culverts, go get me some Gamakatsu trebbles, I got the weights...

ETA: It's going to smell terrible back here.

It won't have to get that low. I think we'd start seeing some relief around 15'. Dawson (17') & Ward (16') should help push water back that way once they start to equalize with Manchac.

That chart is basically 84 hours of embarrassment for the USGS as far as I'm concerned.
