Anyone have any bluff/ridge updates? We left at 10:30 and I'm nervous about what awaits tomorrow morning.

Water still slowly climbing on Ridge. Over the road in the back and right past the S curves. I imagine water is in some of the houses by now. I'm still good for now.

Which part? Between airline and 74, very likely not

Water rose about a foot total in the front pond in OA. That's nothing. My pond hasn't changed an inch.

Our front ponds have risen approximately 6 inches since 9 p.m. This is in Moss Pointe.

I'm not overly concerned at this time, however like many, we are monitoring the situation in case changes develop closer to our neighborhood.

Completely agree.

My wife, on the other hand, is a nervous wreck. I don't believe (as I am sure many others have said this) that water will get into our place. We are one of the highest lots in the neighborhood.

She is more concerned about ability (or inability) of getting out of our neighborhood if water starts getting on LA 74 near our entrance or from Lakes at Dutchtown, making it impossible for us to get out by vehicle.

Just keep an eye on it. You should be fine there. Lots of people have to go under before it gets to you.

That was my concern too. But you'll have more than enough notice

FWIW, on her way to work, my wife just drove down Bluff Rd, from south of where the bayou is on the road, and said the houses/lots on the right didn't look any noticeably different...

She did say that there is a cop where the water is on Bluff (just north of Bluff Oaks), but couldn't tell if he was allowing traffic to pass or not. (She had turned just before that.)

She also noted that she saw a dead deer on I-10.

Looks like the Alligator/ Manchac gauge averaged a .62 per hour increase since I checked at midnight (4.32" total).
It was a rate of .5/hr from 7p to midnight.

Let's get those chinooks in the air boys. Better safe than sorry.

Edit: Adjusted rate from .72 to .62. Didn't realize my midnight check had a 11p timestamp. 11p was 11.24'. 6a was 11.6'.
