It's a shame that people fall for their bullshite ads. If you just think about the crap they're talking about and the price, a reasonable person would know it's shite.

The quality is about the same as that dude that used to ride around Baton Rouge slangin meat from a freezer in the back of his truck.

I have a friend in Nebraska. We often bet Omaha Steaks for boudin. I lose no matter what. It is complete garbage.

Any of y'all remember the Ready Portion Meat Company in BR? I think they were better than Omaha Steaks, by a mile- if pre-packaged meats was what someone wanted.
They shut down a few years back after being open forever, seemed like. So many options, out there- guess it was too hard to compete.

There are several online places that can ship high end and expensive meat. All much much better than Omaha.

I have good luck with my local grocery stores (Dorignacs and Zuppardos) or Whole Foods if wanting to splurge on a steak.

They are not that bad. Either you got a phenomenally bad batch or you're over-exaggerating (my money is on the latter).

To put this in context though, you're bitching that the gift someone gave you just isn't good enough.

Of all the whiny-arse ungrateful, first-world-problems bullshite I've encountered today this tops the list.

Lobel's is so much better.. and their customer service is outstanding. Had an order made right before Katrina hit and the shipment was delayed. Lobel's gave me full credit for the shipping charges and gave me $250 store credit on my next order.
