Added in patient to title. Thought that was a given

Definitely not a given. Earlier ALL non emergent surgeries were cancelled. This is different than that

There is no “shtick”. People can’t handle the truth. Not hard to take care of your body and prevent many health conditions, all the while giving yourself a better chance to fight off viruses

BMI.

OLOL is trying to get more federal funds. I know from good authority that they have less than 30 patients right now due to covid when at its peak they had almost 300

Not good at all.

He’s a fighter—he’s a triplet and was born very early, I think he weighed the most at 2 lbs. I used to go over there and help his mom fold clothes and rock whichever baby needed to be held/tended to. She’s been posting daily updates, it seems he’s had some improvement, but he’s in for a long fight and recovery.

This is truth. I work at most hospitals in Lafayette, including LGMC, and they are jam packed. All these keyboard warriors saying it’s
A hoax need to take a walk through the multiple icu’s and it may change their mind. People In their 30s-60s on vents... this isn’t all 80 yr old nursing home patients. A pulmonologist I used to work with in LC posted earlier that they are current housing 27 icu patients in their 16 bed icu.

We’ve been in pandemic mode for 5 months now. Why didn’t they order some more beds?

Anyone know what percentage of the population is considered obese? I feel like the majority of people dying from every disease are probably fat nowadays. Someone please let me know what contagious diseases are more deadly to physically-fit nonsmokers with good cholesterol, normal blood pressure, perfect blood sugar, and no heart issues.

Yea, we have an obesity problem. In other news, water is wet. It’s been a public health crisis for many years now. I guarantee there are baws on this site saying “they died cuz they were fat” who would, themselves, fall into one of the pre-existing conditions stat buckets.

He’s 19, healthy kid. His brother also got it, who I think is 17-18 and was very sick, both were in ICU.

These kids need to be studied. The chance of two healthy brothers under 20 both going into the ICU from Covid is a crazy statistical improbability. They almost certainly have some sort of underlying genetic issue predisposing them that could be studied to find vulnerabilities and targets for virus treatment
