Grats fat boys. So unhealthy you made them shut down procedures all because hitting the gym for 45 minutes a day and eating decent is too hard

It's a hoax man. It will be done in less than two weeks when OLOL needs more money.

My inpatient surgery at LGMC in Lafayette for Monday just got cancelled. Surgeon said they are too full to take anymore inpatients and are shutting down surgeries there. He did not mention for how long. This is the 2nd time this surgery has been cancelled since March.

Its both. Fat people get more severe infections and gasp for air because their lungs have to work overtime to get oxygenated blood from all the fat clogging arteries

Not exactly what the article says

To make additional beds and staff available to handle the rapid increase in COVID-19 patients, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has implemented a two-week pause on adding new non-emergent surgeries that require an in-patient bed at our main campus to the surgery schedule. Urgent and emergent cases are continuing without delay. Surgeries will continue as normal at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and Our Lady of the Lake Ascension.

Outpatient procedures continue uninterrupted and we encourage patients to maintain those procedures and not delay care. We have seen the negative health impacts that delaying needed care caused earlier this year. We are hoping to avoid that as much as we can during the current surge and ensure that patients do not delay the care they need to stay healthy,” O’Neal said.

In fairness, a young man I used to babysit has been hospitalized with covid for several weeks. He was life flighted to Ochsner from st pats in LC. He’s 19, healthy kid. His brother also got it, who I think is 17-18 and was very sick, both were in ICU. Younger was finally discharged while older brother has been in ICU at Oschner Nola for a couple weeks now. Has been on ECMO.

So while I get the sentiment that the majority who suffer are generally those who are unhealthy, that isn’t always the case. It’s bizarre to me how it affects certain people who are otherwise young and healthy.
