I have no idea how sophisticated or unsophisticated his embezzlement scheme was. Unless he had someone else with oversight responsibilities colluding with him, I’d guess that his scheme was at least sophisticated enough to avoid detection from cursory internal review. However, once ouside, or even internal, auditors are coming in to do a full audit, most any embezzlement scheme is going to be discovered before long.
He surely knows right from wrong. Maybe he thought he could repay the fraud before it was discovered, but he very likely knew he was going to get busted. Protesting an audit would wave a gigantic red flag and just prompt more immediate suspicions. He probably just road it out until the auditors inevitably discovered his criminal activity.

Scott, you are in way over your head on this one. As it has been previously mentioned, you are opening yourself up for some unwanted legal troubles with your continued slanderous attacks against OLOL and LSU. I suggest you quietly take a step back and let things play out like the rest of us.

So I guess it’s ok for someone to slander a man and say he stole from kids because of drugs or Gambling or some other such thing but it’s not ok to speculate maybe people don’t know the whole story

They’re never going to tell the general public how it happened in very great detail. I also doubt they address his motivation(s) beyond very broad strokes, if at all.
I’d guess the only reason we’ve heard anything at all is because they were concerned about it leaking out in an uncontrolled manner. By going public, they are getting ahead of the story and have some control about how it is reported.
