While De Havilland won two best actress Oscars – for her roles in 1946’s To Each His Own and 1949’s The Heiress – she remains best remembered for her performance as stoical Melanie Hamilton Wilkes in the 1939 classic Gone With the Wind.

May she rest in peace. She was a great actress. Her portrayal of Melanie was classic in Gone with the Wind.

By Huston's own account in Grobel's biography, Flynn got the best of him that day.
He put Huston on the ground two times while at the same time admiring Flynn's fighting according to the Queensberry Rules by not kicking him when he was down.
