I return mine, and others I encounter between my vehicle and the corral.

Kroger: always.
WalMarts: sometimes. Several yrs ago our WM decided to reduce the number of corrals and to move the remaining ones to the most inconvenient locations they could find. If we park close to the store, (as frequently happens, we usually shop late Sun morning) the closest corral is out in BF Egypt so we just put in the yellow stripey zone with all the others

what about if it’s 100 degrees outside and you live in Baton Rouge - do you go start the car to put the a/c on so your kids are comfortable and risk having your car stolen with the kids in it?? Or just leave the basket where you are?
For the 17th time, how'd your kid safely get from the parking lot to inside the store?

and you'd be surprised how many agree with you but they let it roll down the cement into another car.

I grab the ones left in the lot and take them to the corral, while saying loudly, “I guess some crippled, retarded piece of shite couldn’t put this cart back, so I’m going to do it for them. God bless the poor, dumb bastards.”

Exactly. The kids thing makes no sense to me. Bring them to the cart corral the exact same way you brought them across the parking lot into the store and then throughout the store and then back to the lot.
There aren’t moving vehicles inside a grocery store. He said he has a 2 and 4 year old. At that age, it’s probably easier and safer to go ahead and buckle the kids in the car before you load your groceries. Plus, kids are exhausting at that age. If the cart corral were far away, I probably wouldn’t put it up either in that situation.

That theory is dumb
Trailer park and ghetto trash certainly think so.

I have done exactly this so many times. Or I see someone leave theirs, walk very obviously to it and make a big dramatic scene out of taking it with me into the store while glaring at them.
I give zero fricks at the grocery store. Act like someone with class raised you people, FFS.

You just walked around the grocery store and to and from your parking spot. You can’t take the cart back? That’s where you draw the line on physical activity?
It’s not about the physical activity. Walking to the cart and using the cart benefited them so they use it. Returning the cart offers no benefit to the person so they leave it. That is where their true character shows. They will only do right if it benefits them not others.

Not putting the cart back in the cart corral because of human trafficking may be the most hilarious excuse I’ve ever read the mental gymnastics are Olympian
I was thinking the same thing.
I also feel sorry for those 2 guys who got the cops called on them when they just wanted to get the "little cart" your wife was using (since there were only "the big ones" by the store entrance).

I appreciate the chaos presented by carts randomly left in the parking lot. I always leave mine in the middle of an empty space.

How that dude hasn't had is arse kicked is remarkable. He does have some funny comebacks though.
My favorite was when he had a gun pointed at him, he whined to the cops and they told him he had it coming.

Here’s a new idea….park next to the cart return so it can be returned very easily. Not that complicated

Honestly, most people are not able to self governed and there is probably about 65% of the population that should be governed by a dictatorship.

Second time ive read “self govern”. There is no law for this. Its a gesture of an opinion. Ill leave that damn cart right next to my truck when I'm done putting my shite in with the exception to small mom and pop places. There is no law on this just like there is no law for parking in a charging spot if you don't have an EV. I think about the next customer that parks where i am will have a buggy already for them
I also find it hilarious that there are people actually getting butt hurt over this and lecturing people over it. Yeah,” let your 2 and 5 year old push it to the corral”, “ bring them with you to drop it” “leave them in the car”. What planet do you live on?
