Can they issue them when it's raining or is that still a No No?
I'm curious about this as well. I went to a place probably 10 years ago near where I lived that would inspect vehicles inside their shop and they told me they couldn't because it was raining. It's not raining in your shop

They are supposed to drive the vehicle and test the brakes. The state would rather you not do that while its raining, so yes, its against procedure

Also, Think about it this way. Arkansas doesn't have inspection stickers, but their state police can pull you over for a "vehicle inspection" No probable cause needed for a traffic stop. Louisiana isn't supposed to be able to do that.
Mississippi doesn’t require them anymore, I go there a lot and have never been pulled over for a “vehicle inspection.” Louisiana inspection stickers are a money racket and will never go away because our politicians and sleazy garage owners are in on it together. $18 for a BS 5 minute inspection

I'm only 4 years expired. At rhis point it's like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer and the car salesman see how far the tank of gas can go.

I never understood not getting it renewed- sure it saves a whole $10/year, and 15-20 minutes every 2 years, but I’m pretty sure the ticket is $150, so you can spend 10 minutes and $20 getting a new one or you can hope you don’t get caught and owe $150.
Some friends moved to PA a couple of years ago, and their inspections require an appointment and take 45-60 minutes. Car up on the racks and everything.

i had a CJ5 a few years back that had one from 83, i kid you not.
But you realize other states require some sort of inspection as well....right? In NC you get it inspected but no sticker. You have to renew your plate sticker once a year and cannot renew that until you have passed an inspection.

Old boy near my house probably inspects about 8-10 cars in an hour.
Writes down info in book
You sign the book.
Hand him $20
Sticks new sticker on.
You drive off.

Yeah, that’s was a bad run of glue or something there for a few years. Last couple have curled up like the ones from the mid to late teens.

I had one that was going on 11 years. Been in a couple of fender-benders, and the wreck that 'totaled' my car, the police never even looked at the registration sticker.

I have a crack that is too long that runs over the very bottom of my windshield below the wipers. Just haven't gone out of my way to find the place that doesn't give a shite. A lot of people have some bullshite reason they couldn't get one.
