and the revenue generated from issuing tickets

Possibly for small jurisdictions that basically treat their little stretch of Highway as their revenue driver, but most decent sized jurisdictions will dismiss the ticket if you show proof you got an updated sticker. It’s mostly just a waste of everyone’s time.

I once went 19 months past the expiration date. Stopped at a gas station in my neighborhood and as I was getting in my truck, a constable pointed at my sticker and said, "Take care of that." I mumbled some weak arse excuse and he replied "19 months? Come on man!" I took care of it.

What's an inspection cost in LA?

I don’t understand why Louisiana doesn’t require it to have the vehicle registered?

They would clean up this issue very quickly.

That is proper procedure. Did you know that your windows must roll down, but your doors don't have to open. At least that is how it used to be

Over here in NETx it's $7. Dallas County probably what, 8 times that much?

I have a jeep that is not my primary vehicle. It expired in 2020, and I actually tried to get it renewed but some asshat claimed the tires stuck out too far past the fenders. That was good enough for me. I'm not shopping around.

We have to do emissions testing here and our air quality has nothing to do with passenger vehicles. Basically dicking over the locals because of the chemical plants.

If he didnt give me a new one I would make him replace the old one. If I paid for something and he destroyed it without replacing it he might have to catch an arse whoppin.

Nevermind the inspection stickers, what's the oldest paper tag hanging in the back window? I swear half the cars driving around Baton Rouge must have been bought in the last 2 months

You paid for an inspection, not a sticker genius

Businesses should just stop doing them so that they go away. If no one inspects, then who's going to do them?

I saw two Lafayette PD cars the other day, one was expired in 2018, the other didn't even have one.

Mississippi did away with the requirement a few years ago, wasn't worth the effort.

Went online to see who still does it. Well, I can tell you that you better call the place first and confirm. I went to four places that have online notices that quit doing them recently. Apparently the grift is no longer worth it for many of the stores.

The place we bring all our work trucks to said people would bitch when they wouldnt give them one because their cars were a pos. I think that place only did them for a few months before they quit and sent that shite back. It def wasnt worth it for them.

All the inspection places I've been to do that.
