Not gonna lie.... I had to urban dictionary that... And I'm actually quite surprised. I figured it was some new sex term or insult you kids say.

He's probably blind or nearly blind. I had a cat that was an inside cat; he started acting the same way as your cat. Took him to the Vet and had to put him away because of incurable problems. He was 17 years old. I cried all the way home because he was my pal. Someone put him out near my house when he was only a few months old. Solid black with yellow eyes; looked just like a miniature Jaguar.

Poster in the Vet's office said cat's years equate to 5 human years; dog's equate to 7 human years.
So my cat was 85 years old.

Could've had a hawk try to scoop him up. Staying close to the edge would allow him to escape easier.

Losing eyesight.

Or, a bird of prey went after him outside recently.

I concur with the votes on losing his vision or even already blind and has acclimated to it. I've had it happen with two different ones over the years. One was age-related and the other was caused by feline leukemia. Age-related is probably gradual and that's why he doesn't seem distressed about it. He's had time to adjust.
