Keep in mind though that's September 12th. We're talking about a long way off and the model runs are going to change a ton between now and then.

Can't be that bad. Storm is missing a whole middle piece.

That's bad, but unless it goes WNW, it looks like it misses us (although I wouldn't wish a seemingly major hurricane on anyone).

maybe you have not watched the weather all week and just turned the TV on, but this was said to happen a week ago so you just now figured out this was going to move into louisianas as it meanders on its way north east ???????????????

You keep saying it's the remnants of Harvey. It's not. Harvey is long gone by then.

GFS and Euro are actually in agreement as of 8 Sept...

It's still a ways out so if it's saying the same thing this time next week then I'll be concerned.

Where is that headed on the GFS at 336 hours? I know it is fantasy land but just curious.

Very, very Katrina-like with that SW turn near Florida. The steering currents that the models are picking up on worry me because what pushes it SW must eventually push it NW.

To be fair, the two most significant weather events to hit Houston and Baton Rouge in the last 50 years were predicted to be busts by you.

From what the weather channel has said today its a good bet it will get pulled out into the Atlantic by A strong cold front coming through the Midwest of the country.........

12z Euro:

18z GFS:

That's 9 days out, but pretty good agreement so far. The GFS takes 93L through the Florida Straights and eventually into the Tallahassee area.

Honestly the path the model has it taking looks like the Tampacane feared for a long time. It is the right time of year to get caught by a front and turned hard NE.

In this case it goes up the gulf coast of Florida into Tallahassee.

So PeeeJ may have cursed another one. Dude really does have a special gift.

When rds says, "I wish I could say with confidence" that this thing was going to curve into the atlantic, I knew I would be glued to another hurricane thread for days to come.

Someone should really stop PJ from planting the kiss of death upon people though. I'm not a superstitious person that much, but this dude is hard to ignore.

Back when Harvey was just a wave coming off Africa, the GFS, Euro and UKMET had him going north of the islands toward the east coast. This far out models can change drastically.
