I get it and I’m glad they can have the interaction, but they all need to go do it in their old people line though.

Old people talk too much period.
My 81 year old Mom gets the operator at like Home Depot for instance. The operator who only cares about which department to send the call, but Mom tells her a basic family history, the current goings on in the neighborhood, weather both current and forecast, the months schedule of events...finally gets around to needing to speak to "the blinds department" or "appliances".
Mom does that everywhere she calls and gets offended when the switchboard operator who has 10k calls coming in and only cares about routing telephone traffic cuts her off to transfer the call. I try to tell her, she's 81, nobody wants to talk to her, they just want the facts and getting "the job" completed.

You'll be there yourself one day. Don't be in such a rush.

I don't get the downvotes. You're not being anti social. You're not anti people. You're not advocating to die alone as a miserable person.
You just don't want to stand in line behind someone who is unaware or uncaring of their particular environment. I get it. Upvote.

yeah, that's almost as aggravating as some millennial twat who has to use his debit card to pay for his Mentos cause he's too fricking stupid to manage carrying cash.

When you complain about this:
You sound like this:
It's kind of ironic.

Yep.
I think the youngsters are just jealous. First we are able to keep our noses out of our phone long enough to recognize other people.
Second, we can convey to the cuties that if we were 30 or 40 years younger, we would ravage them, without being rude, crude, or vulgar.
And lastly, they recognize that if they could do so, they wouldn't be pulling their pud, watching pornhub every night.

Everyone talks too much when checking out.
I prefer self-checkout, but sometimes it's just a pain with a full cart or the lines are longer.

Not on topic, but not worthy of own thread. Was at Academy over the weekend and the lady in front of me was in her 50s or 60s and a couple behind me easily in their late 70s. Woman in front was perplexed by the electronic prompts on the card reader, fumbled with that for a bit, then wrote a check, then did some other shite like getting receipt emailed. Heard old dude behind me say to his wife - look at this stupid old bitch holding the line up. CSB I know but it made my day.

Why are you here talking about this instead of Facebook or Instagram with the rest of the "look at me! I'm so inconvenienced because somebody is actually friendly" whiners?

In my administration these type of people will be beaten and water boarded.
