I was just throwing it out there. You can believe or think as you do. I trust the man who reads that book for a living.

Ah, the Good Ole Days! Back when my dad worked the Graveyard (11pm-7am) shift at the IP mill in Natchez, stopped and cut meat at a grocery store in Vidalia, and came home and slept until dinner time. My mom took care of three boys, cooked, sewed clothes for us, and herself, kept house, and sold World Book Encyclopedias(60's internet equivalent) so we could get a set.
She ended up going back to college after we were all in school, got an education degree, a masters in Library Science and another for Special Ed. She taught fifth grade, taught special ed, became the parish's Educational Diagnostician, and ended up working in the school board office as the Testing & Accountability Supervisor, and the Federal Programs Director, and the Federal Programs Facilitator. When she retired, they literally hired three people to replace her.
She ended up making, and putting away, more money than my dad. Plus she has her retirement from teaching in two states. The really crazy thing is my dad has a great retirement package from IP too. They live as well as they did when they were working. Still travel, when they want, and enjoy life. Like I said before, The Good Ole Days!

It may sound like a 50's housewife when I say that I make my sweetheart coffee twice a day and serve it to him in his chair.
I also get up with him to put his socks and shoes on his feet for him.
I serve him dinner on a tray. i do a million things to make his day easier.
BUT he works really hard, 12 hr day/7 days a week till the job is done. Even when the job is done he deserves to rest up and be pampered. (he has a rod in his back which is why I put on his socks for him)
As for him, he does 95% of the cooking. He does all the grocery shopping. He is continually bring me treats like flowers, candy, things he knows I like, etc.
He is an absolute sweetheart and I love doing things to pamper him and show him how much i appreciate all he does. (Because for the past 2 decades he had a parasitic succubus as a spouse)
